AQA A Level Biology Past Papers, Mark Schemes and Examiners' Reports

Every AQA A Level Biology (7402) and AS Biology (7401) paper since the current specification began, with the mark scheme and examiners' report beside each one, plus both sets of AQA specimen papers. Use the switch to choose A level or AS. On a phone, tap a series to open it.

How to get the most from a paper

  1. Do it timed, in one sitting, with no notes: 2 hours for each A level paper, 1 hour 30 minutes for each AS paper.
  2. Mark it yourself with the mark scheme. Be strict: if your wording isn't on the scheme, don't give yourself the mark.
  3. For every question you dropped marks on, read what the examiners' report says about it. That is where you find out what the examiners actually wanted.

A level Papers 1 and 2 are out of 91 marks and Paper 3 is out of 78 (260 in all). AS Papers 1 and 2 are out of 75 each.

QP = question paper, MS = mark scheme, ER = examiners' report. Paper guide = a question-by-question walk-through with the mark scheme. Each link opens the PDF in a new tab. No examiners' report is listed where AQA didn't publish one or we don't hold it. Compare grade boundaries across every year.
