One-to-One Tuition
One-to-one tutorials have very high levels of interaction. Every lesson includes application of taught knowledge to past-paper exam questions, with immediate feedback for how to approach questions for top marks.
Lessons are tailored to individual student needs, including:
📌 Y12 students whose GCSE studies were disrupted and so need additional support with transition
📌 Y12 students targeting A* and medicine entry
📌 Y13 students who were disappointed by their end of Y12 results and need a new approach
📌 Students with low confidence who are feeling a bit lost in their studies
📌 Students experiencing poor teaching at school, and/or suffering from repeated teacher absence

Booking information
Every one-to-one student gets a fixed weekly slot. For this reason, I have limited capacity each year.
I do still have some regular slots available for 2026-2027. Get in touch as soon as possible if you would like to secure one of these.
You are welcome to book an initial trial lesson at normal rate before committing to the full year.
One-to-one tutoring is £180 per one-hour lesson

Yes. Most students who go on to book weekly do start with a single lesson to see if the teaching style is a good fit before committing to a regular slot. I don't offer free trial lessons, but a first lesson works exactly like any other and there's no obligation to continue afterwards.

If these don’t suit your child’s schedule, please message me on WhatsApp with a few options and I'll do my best to find a time that suits. -
Most students book a recurring weekly slot at the same day and time. Some people choose to have twice-weekly lessons.
If you only need occasional or ad-hoc sessions, get in touch on WhatsApp to check what's available.

I teach AQA, OCR A, CIE and Edexcel SNAB, with lessons tailored to the specific requirements, command words and 'quirks' of your child's exact specification.

I go through notes, slides and past exam questions with markschemes, using a whiteboard to build up concepts as we talk. Your child can also send over exam questions they've found tricky, and we work through exactly how they should have approached them.

Yes, every one-to-one lesson is recorded and saved to a password-protected showcase that only your child and I can access.
Many students find these recordings invaluable for revision, and they're especially useful for reviewing content between lessons.

The booking system asks for your credit card information when you book, but at that time they are only used to reserve your lesson.
Your payment details are held securely by the Accuity software - I never see your details.
Payment is then taken after the lessons have gone ahead.
For regular students, I invoice at the end of the month for lessons that have taken place.
There's nothing to pay upfront and no need to remember to pay in advance each week.

There is no long-term contract. Most families book on a rolling weekly basis and simply let me know if they'd like to change or pause the arrangement. Regular attendance does get the best results, but there's no fixed term.
