The second part is about the concepts of experimental design. What are you changing? How will you control the other variables? What are you measuring? What will you repeat? How will you treat the data and display it? What might be the control experiment (not the controlled variable)
When you look at the hypothesis - the word volatile should leap out at you.

All of the other knowledge is applying the principles of good experimental design and then reading the graphs to find evidence to support a hypothesis.
Give it a go - just remember the question is not about spiders !
